Golf Courses
Travel to a warmer climate to enjoy your golf in a beautiful environment. The Aveyron and Tarn departments are two of the most picturesque areas in the Midi-Pyrenees together with a great reputation for their wine and cuisine.
Rodez
Grand Rodez golf course offers a fantastic view of the surrounding countryside and the Cathedral of Rodez. This 18-hole Par 70 course is rather technical and will enable players of all standards to practice their talents over excellent fairways and greens. The course also includes a compact 6-hole golf course for beginners and a driving range.
Morning tee-off times from Monday – Friday.
At weekends you are invited to join the members in medal competitions.
A choice of accommodation is available close by. Depending upon the length of your stay the historical town of Rodez offers a wide variety of restaurants and leisure activities as well as the local markets with their regional specialities. The old picturesque towns of Belcastel and Conques are within easy reach.
GAILLAC and surrounding area
Famous for its acres of vineyards this market town is dominated by the Abbaye St Michel built on the banks of the Tarn. Within an 18 mile radius we have a choice of four golf courses, all differing in standard and technique.
Golf de Florentin-Gaillac
18-holes, Par 71. For the first nine holes you will encounter trees and water hazards but the back nine are easier.
Golf de Palmola
18 holes, Par 72. This championship course is ranked 9th in the best 50 of France. Each hole is lined with hundred year old trees which is a challenge in itself.
Golf des Etangs de Fiac
18 holes, Par 71. This natural golf course has several water hazards and requires good technique.
Golf d’Albi-Lasbordes
18 holes, Pard 72. Sited on the banks of the Tarn this championship course again is rated one of the best in France.
Accommodation in this area ranges from 3-star hotels to chambres d’hotes to gites. Once again there is a wide range of good local restaurants.
